Finally, the Gingerbread Update HTC Thunderbolt Ready as Build 2.11.605.3

It is a little bit surprising to know that HTC had finally hit the target date for the update of their handset the Thunderbolt.  This support document of Gingerbread has gone on Verizon’s site live, it means that this is now a good sign that the company is just a few days from the roll off. The update which is 2.11.605.3 just weighs only with 146 MB.

Update: Just neglect the “Dock icons” section of the document. Verizon gathered that from a Gingerbread update motto and does not know these things.

Check the Update then go to: Menu>Sellings>Software Update and Check ‘New.’

Additional information:

In case one do not want waiting for this update to become ready to pull, then one can manually update with the use of an RUU that has been leaked at the end of the week. Just to inform one that this update will completely clean out one’s mobile phone but when the OTA update has actually kept everything intact.

Instructions:

  • One can download this file and must rename it to PG051MG.zip(through Android Police)
  • One must discontinue the file in to one’s SD Card root, which means it is not in a folder.
  • One must hold Power+Volume Down to boot into its bootloader .
  • One’s phone must identify the file. Then follow the screen-on instructions
  • After everything is done, then one must select the privilege to reboot.

Just enjoy the use of one’s updated HTC Thunderbolt!
