How to use your Android Phone as Scanner

Scanning is very important in our day to day life and with a branded smartphone one would like it to perform that operation. Though, scanning the documents and getting them in “jpeg” can be done via its primary camera. The only demerit of this available way is the format of the scanned document but now we can get our scanned document in another format i.e. PDF file format with the use of android app “CamScanner”.

  • Jose Michael invented this app which can scan any document and also lets us upload it directly on various cloud storages such as Box.net, Evernote and to our email directly.
  • CamScanner allows us to scan any type of document like newspaper, ration cards, passport, identity card, receipts, bills, coupons and various other documents.

Features of CamScanner:-

  • Scanning Batch documents:- With CamScanner we can take photographs of any document and save them as we are allowed to scan up to 3 images per batch.
  • Advanced Editing Features:- Like any image editing software, it allows us to edit the scanned image like cropping it, filling it with color and it can itself do auto cropping also.
  • Customize size of PDF files:- The scanned document which has been converted to a PDF file, its size can easily be upgraded with the help of CamScanner. It permits up to application of 10 standard formats of size like A4, B5. We can also use auto fit size to enlarge the scanned page.
  • Store Documents:- It allows you to save your scanned document in phone’s SD card.
  • Advanced Management: -When scanned files are viewed it displays various options like thumbnails, view large size, merge files, delete and tag files.

Popularity of CamScanner:-

In no time CamScanner has become the most downloadable app from Android Market with around 5-10 million downloads monthly. So it is one of the most recommended apps for your android phone.
