Unroot your HTC Sensation 4G – How to

When you like to take your HTC Sensation 4G in for the warranty work, or wish to sell it, well this does not matter why you need to unroot this. I am pretty sure that that you already want to know how to unroot this, correct?  Well let us find out about how to unroot it then get a stock recovery, and just put the S back in and how this can be turned just the same way when you took this of its box. You must have to follow the below steps and pronto- in just for about ten to fifteen minutes –your own Sensation 4G will be back just the same as when you have purchased this from T-Mobile.

Disclaimer: We will not be responsible for any damage done to your HTC Sensation 4G.

Then you will have to download these:

  • Android SDK (you will want this.exe version for the windows)
  • Current RUU (that is based in your own carrier) you will need the one that has the highest number, which will be the updated RUU.

Now let us begin:

  1. You must have to set up the ADB Server (in case you do not know just how to perform this The Unlockr has place together this good tutorial. )
  2. Then you have to begin the RUU (ROM Update Utility) which you have downloaded above.
  3. You must follow the prompts at the RUU and this will update your own Sensation Stock 2.3.4 with the Stock Recovery and the bootloader and surely this will be unrooted.

Yes, that was very simple. Maybe not as simple as everybody expected but once you have downloaded all the important pre-requisites it will go faster. Somebody did this in his very own HTC Sensation 4G 9in T-Mobile US and this worked excellently, must have been asking for the better and easier method, this other than the one-click unrooting. This will provide you the Stock ROM, recovery and bootloader stock.

ADB Setup

1. Just proceed to the ways to setup the ADB procedure and then setup ADB so that you may find your own phone’s serial number. After you may find the serial number at the command prompt, then you may return here to continue.

Ways to Setup ADB

III. Use the above given RUU to be able Unroot and Place Your Device Back into its Stock

1.You just have to download the RUU official along the link above: Ensure that you have selected the correct one for your own device.

This Sensation 4G RUU (for the T-mobile US select the version TMOUS having its highest number that was indicated at the new version for T-mobile USA.

2. Ensure that the USB debugging is also still in along when you did the Setup ADB method by proceeding to Settings> Applications> Development> Must have the check next to USB debugging.

3. Just plug your own device in through USB to your own computer.

4. Then you must have to right press the RUU .exe and choose run as the administrator (when you do not have this open then just choose Open.)

5. Just follow these RUU instructions to be able to flash the stock firmware.

6. When the device reboots and still plugged in via USB cable into the computer, then open its command prompt by just pressing in the menu Start and then type in cmd and hit enter at the search field.

7. At the command prompt, just type these instructions and hitting enter in the end of every line:

cd c:\androidsdk\platform-tools 9when you followed this adb procedure then this will be its exact name, then if not you have to place the folder where adb is also located for you in your own computer. i.e. c:\[nameofsdkfolder\platform-tools\)

(adb reboot-bootloader

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

fastboot reboot-bootloader

8. When you have typed its last line, you must find S-on at this top of the bootloader’s screen. If this is done, then you are all set.

Thanks must be given to Alphadog 32 for the updated RUU and its original procedure.
