How to update Sony Ericsson Xperia Play with Cyanogen 7.1

fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img

7.    While the device is in  rebooting phase press the Volume Rockers a few times to boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery.

8.    The moment your device starts booting in ClockworkMod Recovery, using side Volume Rocker one can move here and there and after that one needs to head to Power button for selecting.
Non-compulsory: You can Select the backup and restore for creating backup for the present installation in your Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.

9.    Chose Wipe data/factory reset from available options.

10.    After this tap the Wipe cache partition option.

11.    Click on Install zip from sdcard.

12.    Click on Choose zip from sdcard.

13.    Chose the required CyanogenMod update.zip.
If you wish then: In case you want the Google Applications then perform the same procedure as given in 7 – 9 one more time and chose Google Apps update.zip.

14.    The moment the process of installing completes press +++++Go Back+++++ and you will be able to return to your main menu, & then out of the options pick Reboot system now. After which the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play as expected must boot in the CyanogenMod.
