How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos

Recently released Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos are the cheapest Galaxy Smartphones yet. By now, almost every android user know that rooting your android device will let you customize your device in the way you want. Everything good thing come with its own disadvantages so as the rooting procedure, it will void your device’s warranty. In this article, we will be discussing on How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos. Before that below is the list of some pre-requisites which you have to follow before rooting your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos. Pre-requisites:-

  1. There are always chances of losing the data while rooting or updating any firmware, so it is advisable to move all your data from phone memory.   2. Make sure that device has minimum 50% battery life so that it should not interrupt the rooting process.
  3. Ensure that you have disabled  the Security Suites, Firewall Tools along with the PC tools as these software’s can interrupt your updating process.
  4. Enabled the USB debugging mode by following “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”.

Instructions on how to Root Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos:-

  1. Download the rooting package for Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos.
  2. Place the rooting package without extracting in root of the SD Card.
  3. Now, boot your device in recovery mode for that hold the power, volume up and the home button simultaneously.
  4. Navigate your device by Volume up and Volume down keys, and select the “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” > and select the “Rooting Package”. Once the zip file is updated successfully, you now need to select “++++ Go Back ++++”.
  5. Next, Select “Wipe data/factory reset” and “Wipe Cache partition” and then reboot your device by selecting “Reboot System Now”.
  6. Once all the cache is cleared and data is wiped, you need to download and install Superuser App from the Google Play Store.

    I have the exact same problem as you Kasper, it’s really annoying. I’ve tried everything to solve it, but found no solutions. It worked before with an older version of Photomatix and the plugin you had to install yourself.
