Ways to Install Non-Market Apps easily on your android device.

Android market gives you a huge variety of apps for your android device. It’s a straightforward method of downloading the apps on your device, you just have to select, click it and install it. But there are often times when the app is newly released and not available on android market.  In such cases you manually have to download the .apk file similar to .exe files on windows, you have to copy it on your desktop and move it to your device with the help of USB cable.

Before moving on to the ways to install the non market app you have to enable the unknown sources so that your device will allow downloading the app from unknown sources. To enable you have to go to the Menu> settings>Applications and check on the “Unknown sources�? option.

Way 1: – Installing application through a File manager

  • You have to download a file manager so that it can browse data on your SD card. As there are so many file managers available on the android market but we will use Astro File manager.
  • Once you installed the Astro File manager, you need to connect your device to your pc/laptop with USB cable.  Mount the SD card and copy over the .apk file you would like to install.
  • Through the file manager select the .apk file and then you will see a dialogue box and it will allow you to install the app. You have to select the open app manager and on next two pages it will ask to install and install again. That’s it the app is successfully downloaded.

Way 2: -Install Non-Market Apps with Dropbox Sync

With dropbox sync you just have to download the file in drop box folder in your computer and let it sync. Now open the dropbox app in your phone and go to the folder where you keep the apk file and click on it. Dropbox will download the apk file and install it as on the instructions on your screen.

Way 3: – Installing app Using the Online Apk Installer

The Online apk installer is a app created by the member of XDA forum to manually install the apk file.

  • First you need to go to the www.apkinstall.com
  •  Then you can see the browse file option and choose the apk file on your pc.
  • After uploading the file, you can see a QR code on the website.
  • Next you have to scan the QR code with the barcode scanner and once you scan the QR code, you can click on the download link of the .apk file.
  • After downloading the file you can simply install it and navigate it through the installation pages.
