How to Update Samsung Galaxy S 4G to Stable UVKH2 Gingerbread 2.3.4 Firmware

Good news for those who are eagerly waiting for the Samsung galaxy S 4G update. Samsung has announced the official update with the latest version of gingerbread 2.3.4 version. No doubt this version has improvements and soon there will be Gingerbread 2.3.5 version update for you once it will launched.

Pre upgrade instructions: -

• First thing you should know that you will be losing all the data like SMS, Contacts, Music, Videos and Pictures if they are stored in the local phone memory. All the data stored in your external SD Card will stay intact and no contents will be modified in the external SD card. So you can transfer all your data in your external/internal memory card so that it will not get corrupted or lost.

• You must make the note of APN Settings as well as the MMS Settings because they too will be erased, so you need to ensure that you back up of  all this settings somewhere so that you can then restore the same by configuring it manually once the firmware updating process is done. To note down Go to Applications >Settings> Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
• Make it sure that your device has at least 90% of battery backup so that it will not interrupt the updating process.
• Every firewall & antivirus must be disabled
• Administrative privileges are required to download and install software including drivers.
• USB 2.0 supportive port
• Your phone must be fully charged before updating
• Needs a USB cable
• USB hub or docking station should be avoided.

Steps to update Samsung Galaxy S 4G to Stable UVKH2 Gingerbread 2.3.4 Firmware

• First you need to download the UVKH2 2.3.4 Gingerbread 2.3.4 Zip file and save it to the desktop. Now extract the zip file.
• Now you have to open Odin flash tool, and then switch off your mobile and enter in the download mode. To enter into the download mode you need to press Volume down key + Ok button and along with both the keys press the power button. You’ll see a green screen that means you are successfully enter into the download mode.
• Once you enter in the download mode you have to connect your phone to the computer or laptop with the help of USB cable and open ODIN downloader in the pc.
• Once you connect the device to your pc, the ID:COM block in the odin will turn into yellow which means all the drivers have been successfully installed.

• Click on Start and it will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete the update process and your phone will restart automatically and then select language preferences.
• Now you have to check that your phone has successfully updated or not. You have to check here Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version
• Now you need to enter into recovery mode by holding the Volume Up key + home button and along with both the keys press the power button. It will clear all the cache from your Samsung Galaxy S 4G.
