Replace Keyboard and change themes in Ice Cream Sandwich :No Root Required

There is not an established build of the (Android 4.0) Ice Cream Sandwich yet available however there are some ways to get a glance for users into the Google is offering through the available apps in Android Market.

And since Google does not have restrictions on what gets on this Android Market just like Apple has for the AppStore, there is still room for variety of applications and in various numbers. As you will have come along the themes of this Ice Cream Sandwich in an Android Market that (in several cases) require access root, there are some of them which will also work without root access. However there is an application along the Android Market that must enliven you up.

Several of those who knew about some of the Ice Cream Sandwich must have heard regarding the improved and new keyboard that this features. And well, you now can get the same keyboard (same functionality and design) along the Android Market.

This ice cream sandwich application works quite well with several Froyo run handsets, which are just great for a new application just like this. Its voice to text functions however does not seem to really work however we hope that the developer must bring that specific feature in their updates in the future.

When the SDK Ice Cream Sandwich was first dropped and the developers began building ROMs along it, there are some releases that included the keyboard theme switcher. You may toggle easily through the new ICS one, the old Gingerbread keyboard, a basic grey version and a ‘Stone’ colored board.  After the Android 4.0 was released in the phones, the theme chooser disappeared. This is still to be fixed in the Android however you have to find this with the use of an application like the AnyCut which permits you to search your own phone’s activities available.

Keyboards Themes to switch:

  1. You must install and download this AnyCut.
  2. You create the ‘New shortcut and open AnyCut.
  3. Select and find ‘Android keyboard Debug settings’ and then select ‘Activity”.
  4. Then you name this shortcut with whatever you want then find it and placed in your own home screen.
  5. Then you need to open this shortcut, then tap the ‘Keyboard theme’ and pick the theme.
  6. And lastly just open the text box and just enjoy this.

And since that is really a handy application it will have some bugs. Being a free application though, this is fairly good. This app needs 1.0 or above to be able to perform.
