How to Upgrade DROID Incredible 2 by HTC Software

The  most awaited update is now rolled out by HTC for the Droid Incredible 2. This update will fix some minor issues and upgrade the software to Android OS version 2.3.4. The software update size is 31.1 MB and download will take approx 5-10 minutes and the installation will take approx 8-10 minutes.

Before the update instructions:-

  • You should have charge your mobile’s battery .
  • Make sure your phone has a microSD card inserted. The update will be downloaded to the microSD card.
  • The update may erase all your personal data and customized settings, and also remove any applications you’ve installed. Make sure that you’ve backed up the information and files you want to keep.

Steps to Upgrade DROID Incredible 2 by HTC Software :-

  • You will get a notification in your mobile if the system update is available in your device. So you have to Select OK and the download will begin.
  • Now select OK and sfotware udate will begin.
  • Once you have received the first notification of the system update available you can now manually intiate by going to Home>Settings>Software Update>Check new.
  • Clcik on Restart and Install.  Your mobile will switch off and restart automatically and the installation process will begin.

System Upgrade DROID Incredible 2 by HTC Software While you are roaming

  • System update notice will not reach you if you are roaming.You have to enable Wi-Fi and pass the time for update notice to reach you.
  • To enable Wi-fi you have to go to “Settings” > “Wireless & networks”. Press Wi-Fito enable.
  • You will get an error screen if this system updae will fails down.. You have to reinsert the battery and turn on the power back. After power back on your device will restart with the new software update and if not you have to follow the instructions again.
