Nuance Launches the Dragon Go! – Voice Recognition App for Android

Nuance Dragon Go! The voice control comes just for Android

Lately, Nuance has been on to something, and adding its own voice recognition technology into Swype and at CES 2012, introducing the Dragon TV, just the platform in voice-controlled televisions. And now this company has got one more announcement to make- The Dragon Go! just for Android, the voice control application which really understands natural languages queries. Its comparisons to Siri are quite inevitable, especially now considering Nuance’s technology some powerful parts of the Apple’s product, and the Dragon Go! also offers similar functions. Ask this a question like the ‘what is the best Thai food near us? And you, then will get some good selection of the Yelp reviews; when you ask for some dinner reservations will bring up the OpenTable, then ask for movie times and will release Fandango results.

It will answers al the users questions by just pulling data along various sources that includes Dictionary.com, ESPN, Yelp, YouTube, Ask.com, Accu Weather, Spotify, Wolfram /Alpha, Last. fm., Milo.com, Fandango, Facebook, Pandora, OpenTable, Twitter, Rotten Tomatoes, Bing and Yahoo and some others also.

Whatever your question is, the results are compared on the application’s Dragon Carousel that recognizes also whenever you like to do a particular action- and so searching for the chemical symbol for boron still will take you to the answer form the WolframAlpha. Nuance boosts of the application’s integration with more than 200 content sites, from the AccuWeather into the Dictionary.com to Twitter and Facebook that must provide you plenty to talk about.

I believe that some of the users maybe are scratching their heads and just wondering how the Dragon Go!  really differentiates itself along its popular competitors like the Vlingo. Well, as for starters were recently attained by Nuance, and then there is a great chance that this Vlingo Virtual Assistant application might be pulled along the Market so then rolled into the Dragon Go! Then Secondly, this Nuance has become the leader in the voice recognition for quite some time so this has been argued about that almost all of the current improvements in its accuracy in speech recognition are because of the better and more data, rather than these number rule improvements. Thus, Nuance’s lead has permitted it to have to accumulate boundless stores of the speech data which must ensure that all its answers are far more accurate than its competition.

Finally, not like its competitors, this Dragon Go! really seem to work much more natural by its acceptance of the large variety of questions and by launching of specific websites and applications when it becomes necessary. Just for example, this question like ‘What are the planes that are flying overhead?’ will be answered to by the flight information data along the WolfromAlpha. Similar to this query ‘Show time for the Girl that has the Dragon Tattoo’ will also pull information from the Fandango.om directly featuring show times for the local theatres. The film information is also further enhanced by comparison data along Twitter, IMDB, and the Rotten Tomatoes, that is shown by the software of Dragon Carousel.

The reviews of this application all seems to be quite favorable with the users commenting that this actually understands what they really want than by merely by  just being the search engine that is powered by the speech.

Not like the other Nuance Voice recognition software, this Dragon Go! which comes completely free and works well in Anroid 2.1 through the 2.3.7 having the use of the fundamental Android Media Player. And according to this application description, the support into the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 is ‘on its way’. But sadly, this application is country limited and does not yet appear to work in Singapore. It seems that due to the queries are sometimes specific in to a particular locality, the international support may not be available yet.
