How to get 3G Speeds Back After Latest EVO 3D Update

When you have finished updating your HTC 3D EVO there are speeds data that are found that have taken a serious nose diving. This is because this is the newest preferred roaming list that are not allowed some users to be able to access the EVDO network,  that force you to just take the 1 x RTT network which is slower. The Preferred roaming list version is the main culprit which is 50580 and you can check properly the version when you go to Settings->About Phone->Software Information->More. In order to see the network that you are on, you can just use the app Netmonitor to check out, that you can find in the screenshot above. When it is the case with your newest 3D EVO and you do not have time to wait for a fix get the break for the answer to your problems.

In order for you to fix the issue of this network you must take back your Preferred roaming list version into 21081.  You must be rooted in order that you make use of the following solutions:

  1. You download EPST .apk and PRL 21081 here.
  2. Then uncover the PRL and place it anywhere in your Card SD.
  3. You then must find out your code MSL by using ‘MSL Reader’ or the Sprint. 4. Then put EPST.apk in the system/app by using ‘Rood Explorer’ or similar of it. Ensure that all permissions are chosen. Important:This may overwrite the current EPST.apk file, ensure that you back this up it if is necessary to you!
  4. Then you need to start again your mobile phone.
  5. After your mobile phone has been fully booted, click ‘##775#(##PRL#) in your mobile phone dialer and put your code MSL as your password.
  6. Then click Update PRL and then you must select the PRL that you have recently put on your Card SD among the list, click the button Menu and Commit modifications.
  7. Then you must wait for your phone to again reboot.

After your mobile phone comes back on after starting it again, then you will have your 3G speeds back again. Just enjoy the fix by yourself and do not wait on Sprint to solve the issue, how long that might take you!
