Update Samsung Galaxy Europa I5500 to DXJP7 2.2 Asian Firmware[How to]

We have earlier discuss about the procedure to update Samsung Galaxy Europa to XXFJPQ 2.2 but that was for only European users and we promised that we will be back for the Asian users too, so here we are. Asian users can now update their Samsung Galaxy Europa I5500 with DXJP7 2.2 version but it’s not an official release through KIES but a beta release, so we will be update this process with the help of Odin Flash tool.

Pre-Requisites: -

Surely you don’t want that all your data get lost so we advise you to make back up of all your data because updating this firmware will erase your data.
Move your data like images, videos, audios to your external memory card and you can locally save your contacts and messages into your PC/laptop or you can sync your mobile with Gmail. See here : how to back up your contacts and messages
Note down the APN and MMS settings because this too will get erased while the update process. And after the update you can restore the settings again. To note Go to Applications >Settings> Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
Make it sure that your mobile have at least 90% of battery backup so that it will not interrupt the update process.
You must update KIES to the latest version which is KIES 2.0 and close down the firewalls settings, Antivirus. You should have USB 2.0 ports and admin privileges in your PC/laptop.

Steps to Update Samsung Galaxy Europa I5500 to DXJP7 2.2 Asian Firmware

Firstly Download Samsung Galaxy Europa Asian DXJP7 zip file and save it on the desktop of your PC/Laptop.
Now you have to extract the downloaded folder and Check if any of the file is missing, if yes download the zip file again.
You can see the Odin Flash tool in the folder that you have downloaded, Open it. Now switch off your mobile because you have to enter in the downloading mode for that; press Volume down key + OK button and along with both the keys press the power button.
Once your mobile has entered the downloading mode, you have to connect your mobile to your PC/Laptop with the help of USB data cable and after few seconds that ID:Com port will turn into yellow color indicating that all the drivers have been successfully installed.
Now go for the ‘One package’ and select the tar file that is shown below:

One package- I5503DXJP8-I5503DXJP7-I5503OLBJP7_HOME.tar

After selecting the above mentioned file click on start and the process will take few minutes to complete. Your mobile will restart once the update process is completed successfully.
Switch off your mobile and restart it to enter into the recovery mode. To enter Press the Volume Up key + camera button + power button. Select Wipe data/factory reset with Wipe cache partition. After this reboot your phone by selecting ‘reboot system now’ and at last it will ask you or the language preferences and Google account preferences.
