When Apple started the tablet craze, all the big company in laptop manufacturer have created their own models and in various sizes. Rumor is that the iPad’s fiercest competitor is the Samsung Galaxy Tab for control of the consumers and a threat to knock out iPad.

Galaxy Tab’s case is different among other tablets on the market with its plastic case.  With its sleek, white or black and glossy back case is quite pleasing to the eye. The thickness of this tablet is just fine, not that thick and not that thin which is amusing. Its weight only weighs few hundred grams which is perfectly fine.

The connectivity of this tablet relies on its multi-functional docking connector. The Galaxy Tab 7 like usual it has a standard headphone jack and can also be connected to a computer with its USB port and the tablet can be charge through either powered USB port or to a computer. And at the side of the tablet where the SIM card slot and MicroSD card slot can be found.

One of the best features of Galaxy Tab 7 is its variety of routes in internet access, with its WLAN,  Bluetooth,  EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, UMTS and HSUPA it also supports mobile telephony, SMS and MMS. Its network options is quite easy to configure.

The Galaxy Tab 7 has front camera and back camera as well. With an integrated 3.2 megapixel digital camera as well as a 1.3 megapixel webcam for video chatting, well designed layout for the camera app. Galaxy Tab’s camera is perfectly good for recording all those precious moments.

The warranty of Samsung Galaxy Tab beats the rest of other tablets with its 24 month manufacturer’s warranty which is included in the standard package. This is of course, free and would not have to pay for any warranty extension or such.

With its Android OS this device comes with a touchscreen with some soft buttons below the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab’s touchscreen responds to touch very accurately. It also uses a built-in tilt sensor which recognizes whether the device is being held upward or side and most of the time rotates the screen in response to the tablet’s orientation. This tablet has an on screen keyboard and it also features Swype, which you can swipe your finger from one letter key to the next when typing.

The display of the Galaxy Tab is wonderful even when outdoors with its good screen brightness, as long as in a good viewing angle. The screen content is also clear even at un-parallel viewing angles in any direction, quite easy to recognize.

The performance of Galaxy Tab is also good considering its size. It has an ability of multitasking, and fine video performance with its Adobe Flash, all types of games and videos can be played.

The storage of Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with built-in flash memory which is for apps and data. It also has a MicroSD slot that gives you extension to the storage capacity.
