Dual boot Multiple Roms on Motorola Defy with Multi Boot Manager

Booting multiple android roms on your device is something every android user wants to do. Choosing one rom from many is better, but flashing and re-flashing new roms all time is annoying and same time is a daunting task. Multi boot roms is fun and have even functional uses, such as having one rom for games, one for your personal use, one for your friends and so many others so that everything is settled at its own place.

Motorola Droid users start feeling lucky, because XDA Senior Member royale1223 has come with an updated version of app called Multi Boot for defy users. The app not only allows you to boot multiple roms on your android devices but also provides an easy to use management GUI that helps users keep track of what’s what. Users can boot as many roms they want; although the roms don’t run much fast from SD card and maybe not every rom will work out there, but the app is giving you the opportunity to use as many roms you want without entirely flashing them.

While the app is extremely helpful, it is not fun and game when using it for the first time. The developer has posted some steps to use it, which also includes creating Ext3 data files, and only after then use multi boot manger to boot multiple roms on your android device. As the app is work in progress, obviously there are bugs and some features not working quiet well. Keeping this in mind, developer has advised to make a full backup; nandroid and full SD card backup before using the app.

If you are daring enough and want to boot multiple roms on your android device head on to xda developer thread for instructions, download links and screenshots.
