Update HTC Desire HD with Sense-Laced Ice Cream Sandwich Rom

Having a Custom Rom on your device is the coolest thing. Some android users are having Vanilla Rom, while some like Samsung Galaxy S II receives the leak ICS rom with their manufacturer skin pre-installed, and some users still have to flash CM9 or some other AOSP build on their devices to taste ICS.

Luckily owners of HTC Desire HD have another option to have ICS. Team who brings the BeatMod and Smartdroid for HTC Desire Owners with their efforts, is now comes up with a Sense 3.6 Port based on Ice Cream Sandwich. XDA Recognized Developer zFr3eak and XDA Senior Members memnoc, BiCh0n and XxXPachaXxX are working hard in the project to get the desired results and to get the bugs out.

The ROM is in its beta mode so obviously need some modifications to be done. Presently its just Stock Sense 3.6 with ICS 4.0.3, more features to be come once all the modifications will be done.

The list of things that are currently working are:

Call
SMS / MMS
Audio
Beats
Touchscreen
Acclerometer
Flashlight
Microphone
Touchkey
Keylights
SDCard
GPU acceleration

And what still needs a little work:

Camera
Wifi
Data
Bluetooth
USB Mounting
GPS

So while many of the basic daily use features are not working, users can still flash it and taste the Sense 3.6 with Ice Cream Sandwich. Be sure to make a back up before flashing in case anything goes wrong.
