Add more icons on Galaxy Nexus with Stock Launcher

XDA-developers have once post about the way to remove the constant Google search bar from the all screen of ice cream sandwich by disabling Google Search app. And now, one of the XDA Recognized developer’s djmcnz  has taken one step forward to allow users by placing the icons in a place of Google Search bar which can’t be done by the earlier hack. Interestingly enough now you can choose between 3 or 5 home screens. You must root your device for this and the mod stock launcher is proposed for Galaxy Nexus. Here is how to Install this:-

1) First and foremost you have to make a back up and boot to CWM recovery
2) Select any one of the given zip files

3)  Now flash the zip file in recovery mode.

You can install an alternative launcher first so you have options if this does not work and this may also happens that you find a problems with small resolutions screen.

Features by Developer

      • Google search bar removed from home screen
      • Search still works as expected
      • Choose 3 or 5 home screens!
      • Great with Paul’s search button mod available here
      • 4×5 grid enabled in portrait mode to reclaim the search bar space
      • Vertical grid height reduced slightly to accommodate 5 rows
      • Landscape remains 4×4 (4×5 doesn’t fit without scaling) so bottom row is chopped off (gracefully)
