LocalAPK is an application that checks the version of apks stored on your android. It can easily detect whether the application installed over phone is of the latest version or not.  The application operates on a simple rule of comparison between the installed copy and the version of the application at Android Marketplace. This application becomes more useful for androids that do not have Android market installed on them.

 How to install LocalAPK and check for the apps available updates versions.Follow:

  • Ensure that you have downloaded the correct LocalAPK version(x86 bit or x64 bit version accordingly). Remember that it will run on Windows-based PC only (windows XP sp2 or later). Check availability of .Net Framework before installing. If not, then install Net Framework before installing LocalAPK.
  • Now connect phone to PC with help of a compatible USB cord.
  • Wait for proper detection of phone over Pc before continuing.
  • After successful connection, you can turn-on the US storage with the help of menu option provided to you.
  • Return to the PC and run LocalAPK application.
  • Then follow: to Options >> Settings.
  • In the Settings, you will have to select “Scan Folder”.
  • The folder by navigating to the SD card drive of your android connected to your PC.
  • Click on OK button.
  • Return to the application’s main interface and then click on Start, select Refresh.
  • The list will be shown with latest and current versions of different apps
  • Now select the app from list and update it.
