Then after that you have to extract it by clicking the Odin folder and the Odin exe file to open then software client that is flashing.   4. After you have opened Odin in your computer, you have to switch off your Galaxy phone and enter it in the download mode.  In order to this you have to turn it off and hold the volume down key and need press the power on button to make the device On in the download mode .
  5. Then the next thing to do is to connect the phone into the computer where you have successfully downloaded and extracted the zip file from the mentioned link. Just take note that upon connecting the USB cable you must make it sure that the Odin software is really opened, and upon connecting the phone to the Odin, its ID COM block  yellow upon which you will enter the files by just clicking on the options.

  1. Just after feeding in the files, double check it and then proceed and click on the “Start” option in order to start the update process of the firmware. Then you will see that the firmware will be successfully installed in your Samsung Galaxy S 4G within 5 minutes. Then you will notice that the flashing process is going on. Just make it sure that you won’t interrupt the flashing process as this may endanger your phone.
  2. Then the updating process of the firmware will be done and you will be able to see that the ODIN will be showing the PASS message in the green color that means that the firmware has been updated successfully.  You need to reset your phone in order to ensure that it has erased all cache data.
