Rooting XXKH3 Detailed Guide (for those that need it)

Here is the video that shows the method of rooting the firmware. Here is one a firmware that is being rooted here is the XXKG1. The method shown in this video is similar for the rooting XXKH3 also, but must use the file that is given below in the step 1.

Root XXKG6 Guiding steps

  • You must download first the CF-Root kernel. File name-CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KH3 v4.1-CWM4.zip. Size 6.08 MB.
  • Then unzip the file above.  You will then take the .tar file-CF-Root SG_XX_OXA_KH3-v4.10CWM4.tar. Please DO NOT ever extract the file.tar (when you find it as zip file, that it’s not so). Then you have to flash its file.tar with the use of Odin in order to gain the root access then install the Recovery ClockWorkMod (CWM) beside it (when you are getting image, this means that you have extracted also the file.tar-and that is not the right process to do).
  • You download the Odin software. The Filename – Odsin3-v1.85.zip. Size-198 KB. You extract its zip file in to the folder to be able to take two files-Odin3 v1.85 .exe and Odin3.ini. And do not ever delete this file.ini because it is a requirement also.
  • Then switch OFF the device. Then wait for the vibration to totally confirm its switch off.
  • You must boot your device in the Download Mode – then hold and press the VolumeDOWN+HOME+POWER Keys combine. Then you open the Odin now just through double-clicking the Odin3 v1.85 file.exe that you have gotten on step 3.
  • Then connect the device to the personal computer now.  And you must get the get this message ‘Added’ just under the message box of Odin at the left bottom. When you do not get the message, then possibly there is some issue with the drivers. Ensure that you have installed the drivers- if not, and then use the links(s) above given on its pre-installation methods heading above. When you do not get still the message ‘Added’, then try some other USB Port or better restart the PC. And you can try installing software Kies as your last resort and this will surely fix it.
  • In Odin, press the tab PDA and then choose the file.tar you have gotten on step 2-CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KH3-v4.1-CWM4.tar.
  • Ensure ‘Re-Partition’ checkbox is really un-ticked. Meanwhile, leave this ‘F. Reset Time’ and ‘Auto Reboot’ checkboxes ticked.
  • Then you must double-check the step 8 & 9. The Odin’s screen must look the same as this (it is actually for KG3, and so its filename in the PDA tab must be different);
  • Then press the button Start in Odin in order to flash its Root kernel-CF.
  •  Just after its CF Root has been installed, the phone will automatically restart. If the logo Galaxy S2 shows up in the phone, then you may disconnect its cable along the phone.
  • Your own Odin’s screen will look the same as this when you have successfully done the flashing.

  • Finally your device is now rooted. The superuser application is there!

This is it. A Salute is due for Chainfire for the wonderful, great and easy method rooting.

Thanks for the helping  hand to mate.
