How to Complete Root your HTC Dream

Create a backup- Preceding anything that you do.

Always remember to save your information. Firmware Downgrading

When the HTC Dream has already been downgraded , do not do this Rooting.

• You must download the RC29/RC7 Dreaimg.nbh file( Make it sure it is named DREAIMG.nbh):

Download RC29(US)

Download RC7(Europe)

• Arrange the card SD to FAT32.

1. When the mobile phone is working on 1.6 Android plus then you can arrange the card SD along the settings of the device: Setting > SD card & storage device > Unmount SD card :Format SD card
2. Then you have to employ other device to have your computer to distinguish the Card SD (camera, microSD reader, or mp3 player).
3. Windows- My computer> right-click on Card SD and choose format.
4. Mac users: Employ Utility Disk and press Erase and so choose MS-DOS FAT.
5. Linux- Employ parted and formatted as FAT32 or employ utility disk and FAT as format.

• Then you have to Copy the DREAIMG.nbh to the Card SD root ( not in any files) Be sure that the filename is DREAIMG.nbh correctly or it cannot be done
• Then turn off the device and restart holding the button Camera and button Power until the phone is in the mode of bootloader.
• Just follow the instructions on-screen to reflect the image.
• When you have finish, just click the trackball.
• Click the button Call, Power button & Menu button all at the exact time to restart.
