How to Use External SD Card as Internal Memory in Droid Razr

Being an Android User, you might know that Android Device has a very less internal memory which is quite disappointing and annoying when you want to install an app and you don’t have enough space. Not a long ago android phone came with 512MB of space and users have to use an SD card in case they want more space than that. Even when the devices come with an 4GB internal memory, necessitating the need for an SD Card. And now when the newest generation devices are coming out with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, users still seems to prefer SD Cards over the internal storage for easy use avoiding load on internal storage.

Though there is a limitation of having both internal and external storage in our mobiles, apps like MIUI Music Player are unable to read music stored in external card as well as did not read the file manager and take internal memory as the external card hence ignores the external microSD card. And in this case users have to re-install many apps, but re-installing won’t fix the issue.

Luckily Owners of Motorola Droid RAZR, will not face this issue anymore because XDA member pajn has released a few easy-to-flash .zip files that will tell the RAZR to mount the external storage as internal storage and vice versa. It means when a user boot, the external SD Card turns in internal Memory and vice versa.  All you have to do is download switchSD.zip, put it in SD card, boot into recovery, select install zip from sdcard and select the downloaded zip and click on Yes, install switchSD.zip. Once the installation is completed go back and select reboot system.

For those who want to revert back to normal, download reswitchSD.zip and perform the same steps as you did to install the app. Do not forget to make a backup in case.
