Update Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 with Blockbuster 5.5 Custom ROM Firmware [How to]

The latest version of Blockbuster ROM 5.5 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 users. Blockbuster ROM 5.5 is the updated version of the previous Blockbuster ROM 5.0 version. Pre upgrade Steps: -

First make backup of your all data which is stored in your device like SMS, Contacts, Videos, Songs, Images, Audios, APN settings and MMS settings .
You can transfer all the SMS, Contacts, Videos, Songs, Images, and Audios to your external/internal memory card. You can see here to see how to back up .
Make a note of the APN settings and MMS Settings. Go to Applications >Settings> Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. You can restore the settings once you are done with the firmware update.
· Make sure that you are using the XXJVR 2.3.4 version. To check go to Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version and here you can see the version you are using.
Last but not the least your phone must have at least 90% of the battery power so that process will not stop.

Steps to update Galaxy S GT I9000 with Block Buster 5.5: -

First you need to download Blockbuster 5.5 Rom in your pc/laptop and save it on the desktop for easy on go process.
Now you have to connect your phone to the pc/laptop with the help of usb cable and move the zip file to your phone.
After this you need to turn off your phone and enter into the recovery mode to boot your phone in recovery mode. To enter in recovery mode you have to hold the Volume Up key + home button and along with both the keys press the power button.
Now in recovery mode you have to go to option “install zip file from SD card” which you can select the volume up/ down key and press the power button. Select the file named as “Blockbuster_5.5_wipe.zip”.
Once you select the file, it will take 5 to 7 minutes to update. Your device may restart and flicker during the process so don’t interrupt the process.
Once the process is over your device will restart and it may ask you for the language preferences and after entering the same you are now updated with Blockbuster 5.5 ROM on your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000.
