One Click Root Method For Motorola Droid Razr on Android 2.3.6 and ICS

Every now and then there is a new tool released for the already available task which no doubt making the process easier and merrier. Those who own a Motorola Droid Razr, you have experienced quite a bit of awesomeness in the previous days that makes your android device more customized. And now XDA Elite Recognized Developer AdamOutler has come up with a One Click Root Tool called casual which stands for Cross-platform ADB Scripting Universal Android Loader. The tool itself is a charm and while it is in beta right now, don’t be surprise to get some bugs.

The tool has a simple User Interface and now supporting android devices running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is a java based tool so it will work on all OS namely Windows, Mac and Linux. Presently Droid 3, Droid 4, Droid Bionic and Droid Razr works well with the tool but there are high chances of getting more devices supported soon.

Pre-requisites:-

  • Make it sure that drivers are properly installed. Download drivers
  • Download the latest Java runtime in your PC.  Download java
  • Download the CASUAL Motofail Package.
  • Turn on the USB Debugging mode by following Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging.
  • Disable all the Antivirus and Firewalls in your PC so it will not interrupt the process.
  • We highly recommend backup your device data. You can directly backup your data to cloud or you can backup by using different apps.
  • Make sure your device have atleast 50% battery backup before starting this rooting process.

Instructions:-

  • Extract the contents of the rooting package you have downloaded above.
  • Connect your Phone to your PC.
  • Right click on the CASUAL-PublicBeta4.jar from the rooting package and then click on open.
  • Casual Root Tool will run in a few seconds.
  • Now if you are a Gingerbread user, select the “Root with Motofail Exploit” in the drop down menu and then press “Do it” to start the rooting procedure.
  • And if you are a Ice Cream Sandwich User, select the “Root with RootICSRAZR” in the drop down menu and then press “Do it” to start the rooting procedure.
  • This will install the su binary, busybox and the SuperUser.apk
  • After the process is complete, disconnect your phone from PC.

Congratulations, your phone is now rooted, Thanks to Casual Root Tool. Now you can use any rooted app and try roms on your android device.  Happy Rooting !
